Baby massage is a great thing for parents and loved ones to learn and experience with their newborn baby. I hope that if you are in the area you will join me in my class, where you will be able to have live, hands on, learning with an internationally certified baby massage teacher.
I received my certification from Tina Allen, the founder of the Liddlekidz foundation. She is renowned for traveling around the world, bringing baby massage to families all around the world. She has brought together different massage styles from around the world, for the best experience a baby could ever have, who’s life mission is to bring healthy, loving touch to families everywhere.
It is with her expertise, and teachings that I will be able to bring the same healthy, loving touch to your family. I have a few different options for you to choose from. This is so the class can best suit your needs, either in a group or 1 on 1. All of the Full Body Baby Massage Classes teach the same techniques whether its all done in one day, or over the course of multiple session. You will also learn the same things if you are doing a 1-on-1 class or in a group, though the lengths in time reflect the flow that commonly occurs in these settings. This is the same for the Colic Class.
Group classes, stay at a reasonable size to make sure that I am able to help anyone in class. This includes being able to show everyone the techniques, while they are practicing the techniques themselves at the same time. Though I am also a Registered Massage Therapist, at no time during the class will I have contact with your baby. It will only be yourself that will be massaging your baby, or a doll that is provided in class if you are still expecting your baby to arrive, or if your baby is not able to have a massage at that time.
My classes will give you the confidence you need to massage your baby which will help your baby sleep through the night, sinus congestion, and even digestive issues like constipation and gas. Not only do I teach this in my classes but you will also learn when is the best time to do massage, how to do a full body routine, and any changes that you might have to do in your massages if your baby has any type of conditions, and when you should avoid doing massage. I also do teach how to ease the discomfort your baby is having if they are experiencing Colic. Because there are a few extra things that you need to know when it comes to Colic, as well as it having its own routine, I only offer it as a separate class.
Not only is massage great for your baby, but it is also good for everyone in your loving family. It can help you make a bond with the baby, using touch as another form of communication, and being able to read your baby’s cues and body language. Not only does it help with bonding, but it can also help with relieving postpartum depression, as skin to skin contact helps with releasing feel good hormones for the both of you, and can help stop the self-doubt cycle.
My classes are meant for any type of family, including adopting, single parents, traditional families and same sex parents. What is most important, is the love that you want to express with your child, and wanting to show it in a positive and healthy way! That is all that matters.
